How does a change in voice occur?

Anything which affects the pitch, loudness and quality of voice is said to be a voice disorder. Changes in the voice can occur due to:

• Vocal nodule and polyp
• Vocal cord palsy
• Excessive screaming and shouting
• Laryngeal cancer
• Spasmodic dysphonia
• Puberphonia (males having female like voice)
• Androphonia (females having male like voice)
